The Best Vocal Program You Can Have
September 7, 2007
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Greetings,
The other day I discovered a blog written by a man who has been using vocal products for a long time. In it he discusses 5 products he has used and lists the best to the worst.  I was delighted to see that Voicing It! tops his list!
"I Think This Is The Best Vocal Product You Can Have -- It's a Life Changing Program" ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Those words are not mine but those of a blogger.  While I don't know who the speaker is, the man says that "one of the best benefits you get is that she trains you how to breathe diaphragmatically so much better than any other coach.  Her way is simple, easy to follow.  The video and sound are good quality.  You will be able to do all the exercises very easily and you will get results."
I have no intention of listing the other four participants in his 'study', but they are all well-known voice coaches.  I am delighted because the 2 years we devoted to the creation and production of our video was well worth the effort.  I wanted a quality product.  I wanted a product that would teach the individual just as if he/she was with me in my studio.    Part of the success of Voicing It! is that because of my many years of experience and the 1000's of voices I've changed, I was able to anticipate what could go wrong; therefore, I felt it extremely important to show not only how to do it, but how not to do it.  I don't think anyone else in the business does that.
I find it fascinating that there are websites for men who are looking for the best means to attract women and some men truly understand that a rich, warm speaking voice is part of the attraction.    I also find it fascinating that Voicing It! is being purchased by more men than women.  I would never have expected that to be the case.  Because we women are often so concerned with how we look, we tend to 'overlook'  how the sound of our own voice effects others.   Without voice training, most women do not have voices that are attractive.  In truth, we have a tendency to sound like ill-tuned violins.  On the other hand, men without training may not have great voices but at least theirs are deeper in pitch, more like that of the cello; and, I would sooner hear a poorly played cello than a poorly played violin!
So think about this ladies.  If 37% of the image you project is the sound of your speaking voice (the one you hear on your answering machine, not the one you hear in your head!), and if men understand the value of a warm, rich-sounding voice, don't you think it's time that you placed some value on how you sound, not just how you look?   We women often complain that men don't listen to us.  Maybe, just maybe, they don't 'hear' us because they don't like bad violins!  (Had I not changed my own voice those many years ago, I shudder to think what I would sound like today.)   It's not what you say -- it's not even how you say it -- it's how you sound when you say it!
