Judith's Story Continues
July 3, 2008

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Greetings!
In May I told you about Judith, the woman who found that she was able to control her nervousness because of the breathing, and, in the process, discovered that her 'old' or habitual style of breathing was actually more of a panting and quite stressful.
A call from Judith earlier this week gave me fodder for today's newsletter.  At a recent Toastmasters' meeting, Judith was heard throughout the room because she was able to project her voice (and she hasn't even gotten to Session 4 on Volume & Projection!).  Having noticed a difference in her singing voice, she intuitively understood that breathing with the support of her diaphragm would enable her to increase her volume comfortably without shouting.
I love calls from Judith   I wish all my clients would keep in touch with me because I am interested in hearing about their progress -- each and every one of them.  Notice I said clients and not customers.
Because we at Voice Dynamic put so much attention into the finite details of Voicing It!, trying to ensure that whoever would use it would feel as if they were working with me personally, I regard those who buy the DVD video program as clients.    Voicing It! is not a fluff course nor is it 'smoke and mirrors:' it is a step by step approach -- intensive, extensive, complete.
Maybe you speak too fast and want to be able to control your speed.  While speed is covered in Session 3, most people will gain total control over their speed once they learn to breathe properly.  [Why I include a special section in Session 3, however, is for those under 30 who hail from the Northeast and talk as fast as they drive!  Some of these people may need additional help.]
Maybe you have a whispery sound or a gruff sound and just want to improve the quality of your voice.  The wonderful difference between The Voice Dynamic Approach and other voice courses is that I teach you how to find your real voice; and, aside from nasality, mumbling or lockjaw, the problems you may have with your voice (or lack of it!) will disappear once you 'let your chest do your talking.'  It truly is as simple as that.
At my Detroit workshop last week, I worked with a gentleman whose voice I could only describe as mushy.  I can't think of a better word in assessing the quality of his 'before' voice.  To hear the difference in his 'after' video was stunning.  Did he need a particular exercise to change the 'mushy' quality of his voice?  Absolutely not.  All he needed was to learn to breathe with support and find the optimum pitch of his voice.
You would be amazed to discover the difference a breath can make
in your voice...in your business...in your life!
